Freedom in Isolation Journal:

#3 'Inside, inside my brain'

Suzie Beckley

I'm spending a lot of time on my own,

and I'm constructing lies and visions about the world I've outgrown,

I see a network,

but I'm not part of it,

the connections I have,

have left me?

or far from it?

I cannot disentangle,

the real and the the construction,

they have become one,

within this destruction,

The world is collapsing in on itself,

but everything looks the same,

all that the window retains,

has done nothing,

but follow itself and remain,

the earth wakes up,

still knows itself,

still grows and tries to maintain,

but everything else has shifted,

and moved inside,

inside of my brain.
