An Interview with Helicon's Grads

It's Helicon Recruitment Month!

Since 1998, Helicon has been providing University of Bristol students with creative spaces to publish their work, meet like-minded people, appreciate the artistic capital in which it was founded, and gain skills and experience for the world beyond the university campus. Using that experience, our alumni have been taking the creative industries by storm for nearly 20 years. From now until Sunday 30th April, we're recruiting for the Helicon team of 2017/18. The roles up for grabs are Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor, Section Editors (Poetry&Prose, Features, Film, and Photography), Marketing Manager, and Visual Director. If you're ready to join the team, and you're going to be a student at University of Bristol in September 2017, we can't wait to hear from you! Details for the roles and how to apply are on our Facebook page. Deadline is midnight on Sunday 30th April.

Hear what some of the Helicon grads have to say about their experiences below:

WHAT THE GRADS SAY

"I loved being part of a team of amazing creative people through Helicon. My favourite part was running the events and workshops. I now work in events, and looking back this was one of the first experiences I had of conjuring things up and making them happen. Many coffee-fuelled nights putting together our printed issue also helped me learn InDesign, which I've used as a freelancer ever since. It such a great opportunity to take complete creative license and collaborate on something."
