The botanical gardens are super cool to explore in any season (and free if you are a student!).  I head up during some of the bleaker months of the year to have fun taking photos while surrounded by warm green houses and green plants.  I only meant it as an exploratory visit to see what fun photos I could find but ended up really enjoying some of the shots I produced.
