Can you seE?

Abi Reeves

Here we stand overlooking Eden

Where trees burn before our eyes.

Time skips a

Beat (we’ve set the clocks alight)

and this Eden is

Beaten up battered yet no matter,

We can claim to know better.

Shame is too much

To bear,

In tears we forge our roots in Adam and Eve

Whilst tearing trees from theirs.

Don’t fear the devil when

We tempt ourselves to silence.

We

The unjust

Just fall further

To dust our world all apart is falling

Apart (we will have no part)

My words can’t break this

Silence.

But we’ve overlooked Eden, so

Ours will be forever lost

As it just falls

To

Pieces.
